 11-16-1946           Opens office in Gettysburg (Col. 6)

 12-14-1946           Arrested for Criminal Assault and administering a drug with intent to commit a felony against Rita Dryer, 23, of Gettysburg, committed on November 21, 1946. (Col. 1)

 12-21-1946           Doctor Held for January Session.  Richard A. Brown of Swope, Brown and Swope entered a not guilty plea.   Ms. Dryer saw Dr. Lefever on the street and he said he had some vitamins for her.   She went to his office and he gave her medication that made her pass out.   (Col. 3)

 12-28-1946           Lefever counter charges Rita Dryer with perjury and the judge agrees. (Col. 7)

 12-28-1946(2)       Two witnesses testify that Rita Dryer confessed the allegations were all false in an attempt to get her husband back  (Col. 7)

 01-04-1947           Drugging trial must precede perjury trial.   Lefever presented bail, but no request was made by Rita Dryer, who was taken to jail after the perjury charge. (Col 7.)
