Valley Forge National Park Investigation

 Location: Valley Forge, PA

Date:      Sunday night, May 30, 2004

 Moon phase: Waxing Gibbous

 Solar Activity: Unknown

Investigators present: Hillary M., Shonda A., junior investigators Cassie and Erica.

Equipment: Kodak DC280 digital camera, Sony digital video camera with Nightshot,

History: George Washington’s troops camped here during the winter of 1777. More information can be found at the official website through the following link:

Investigation: We arrived at the first set of reconstructed cabins within Valley Forge Park at 9:00 p.m. Because my digital camera was being repaired, I took my infrared video camera instead. Shonda had her digital camera, and brought a pair of divining rods*, which she thought might be fun for her daughters, Cassie and Erica. When we arrived at the site, I found that the battery on my video camera was completely drained, despite the fact that I had double-checked it before we left, and found that it still had five hours of recording time left.

We spent about 45 minutes at this site, and captured four moving orbs on Shonda’s digital camera. At 9:45, we headed over to the General Wayne monument, at which I have had some luck previously. Tonight, however, we did not have any luck here. Since the park closes at 10 p.m., we decided to leave the park, and head over to the victory arch, which is on a main thoroughfare. Unfortunately, though, we did not have much luck here either, except for a few stationary orbs. We headed home at about 10:20.

Conclusion:  I have spent many hours at night in the Valley Forge National Historical Park. Most of those hours have been spent at the first set of reconstructed cabins on the tour. This investigation further proved that there is some activity at this particular site.

 * PRSNA does not condone the use of diving rods during their investigations. Although preliminary tests may show some positive results, much further testing is needed to determine their merit.
